What is the Wimmera Health Care Group Foundation
"Give Where you Live"
The Wimmera Health Care Group (WHCG) Foundation, established in 1989, is a public charitable fund.
The aim of the Foundation is to raise money through donations, bequests and fundraising. These donations are invested wisely and the income generated from these investments is used to fund special projects at both the Horsham and Dimboola campuses, which directly benefit the people of the Wimmera, guaranteeing the highest quality health care.
All donations $2 and over are tax deductible, but the BEST THING about the Foundation is that your money is never spent, it will remain invested and continue to generate an income to fund much needed projects.
The Foundation's capital is managed by a skills based volunteer Board of Trustees from our local community. As a charitable trust, the Foundation manages funds for maximum return and security in accordance with the Trustee Act 1958.
The WHCG Foundation announced that it achieved its target of reaching $1million in capital by 2014.
We are proud to announce our new "2020 Vision" - our new strategic plan for the next 6 years with an exciting new project.
The WHCG Foundation has committed $420,000 over 6 years towards the redevelopment of the cancer treatment centre at the Wimmera Base Hospital. This donation is from the income generated on the funds invested from YOUR donations to the Foundation.
Because we use only the income generated from your donations, your money remains invested and will continue to work for this project and other important projects within the WHCG campuses in Horsham and Dimboola forever.
To "Give Where You Live" is so important for our health service now and in the future.
Donations of $2 or more to the Wimmera Health Care Group Foundation are tax deductible under Section 30 – 160 Income Tax Act 1997. All transactions are in Australian dollars.
Donations to the Wimmera Health Care Group Foundation are non-refundable.
